Charles Leclerc set the early pace in Free Practice 1 at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, as McLaren found things difficult in the opening session of the weekend.
The first hour of action saw times tumble quickly as the dusty track surface cleaned up. Continuing his recent form, Leclerc's 1m 34.802s topped the order, with Williams driver Alex Albon second by 0.166s.
Yuki Tsunoda was the lead Red Bull in third, while Max Verstappen was in close pursuit in fourth.
McLaren arrived in Nevada expecting a tough weekend, and this proved to be the case as both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri took to the run off areas before setting the sixth and eighth fastest times.
