(OFF THE COAST OF GAZA) 1 September 2008 - Israeli Naval vessels are
currently firing on unamrmed Palestinian fishing boats and international
human rights workers off the coast of the Gaza Strip. The fishing boats
are several miles off the coast of Gaza City, in Palestinian territorial
waters. As of 11am (4am EST) no one had been injured, but live ammunition
is still being fired in the direction of the civilian boats.

The unarmed boats went to sea at dawn this morning, in an attempt to fish

GAZA CITY (1 September 2008) - Human Rights Observers from the Free Gaza
Movement and the International Solidarity Movement launch campaign to
monitor Israeli naval aggression against Gazan fishermen.

Good Morning from Gaza City,

The boats of SS Liberty and SS Free Gaza arrived safely in Larnaca
Cyprus last night with some of the original passengers and 9
Palestinians from the Gaza Strip aboard.

About 9 of our original international passengers stayed on in Gaza
to do media and other work.

Yesterday, British Journalist Lauren Booth and I attempted to exit
via Eretz Crossing into Israel, accompanied by sick Palestinians
needing specialty care not available in Gaza.

The Israeli border guards threatened to shoot us, but we advanced
slowly with our arms raised holding our passports up high; We
advanced right through the tunnel right up to the iron gate, but the
Israelis would not open it. The US and British Embassy's gave us the
Royal run around and would not help us.

Admiral Marom’s Strange Proclamation

The signature of Israeli Navy Commander in Chief Admiral Eliezer Marom appears
on a very odd document. (See attached.) Dated August 11th, 2008, it is not
written on official stationery, nor is it addressed to anyone.

The document declares that the Israeli Navy is operating in a maritime zone off
the coast of Gaza. Was there any doubt that they have been doing so
continuously since 1967?

It includes the sketch of a map and a series of coordinates (also attached) to
define the zone, which includes all of Gaza coastal waters, and a major slice
of international waters as well. It advises all foreign vessels to remain
clear of this zone because of a “security situation” that is apparently so

Now, in reality, this is not actually a place to vent real hatred for any religious group.

The actual objective here is discussions relitive to the misconduct of the government of ISRAEL, on one side, and to give those with an opposong view an opportunity to rebute, therefore defend ISRAEL.

I want it understood, that myself as well as others will be submitting statements and information relitive to what we feel is serious misconduct, even criminal conduct commited by the government of ISRAEL, this is in no way intended to be construde as any type of hatred for the jewish people living in ISRAEL, or else where. But on the otherhand, i welcome any dessenting view to mine to be debated here and i will try my best, within the limits to my intellectual ability, to give you a a lively debate.

I am an Atheist but truly respect other people's believes and never try convincing others to switch to mine.

I heard someone saying here, that ARAFAT never wanted to sign a deal when Clinton hosted CAMP DAVID talks. That's INCORRECT he really wanted to sign A DEAL but he also wanted a FAIR DEAL and the deal offered by the Israelis DID NOT INCLUDED important JERUSALEN places for BOTH religions.

NICOSIA, CYPRUS (18 Aug. 2008) - In a letter today to the Free Gaza Movement,
the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs acknowledged that the group of
international human rights activists attempting to break the siege of Gaza were
“humanitarian,” and stated that the Israeli government “assume[s] that
